I was at my desk this morning, sorting through my email. I get notices from Zillow and Trulia every so often about houses for sale from the time when I was actually looking for a house. But I still like to look. I saw an interesting house on Hillcrest, built in 1943, and clicked to explore.
Looking through the photos I saw one picture with a view to the living room through an archway, with bookcases built-in on either side. Something (the Lord) said to me to look at the book titles…for Christian books. As I looked closer I do see what appear to be Christian books! I first saw one on the right, then, in the bookcase on the left there is another one, a book called “God Calling/God At Eventide.” I could barely make out the name but I could read enough of it to google it and found the version in the photo is actually two devotionals, combined into one volume. As I downloaded a sample from the Apple Bookstore, I realized—GOD WANTS ME TO READ THIS BOOK! As soon as I started to read the first page a flood of tears (Holy Spirit tears) overwhelmed me. My Spirit knew.
Needless to say, I bought the book.
